18th Dynasty Of Egypt Tutankhamun, The Pharaoh, is not actually one of the important rulers in Egyptian history, and he died suddenly at the age of 19. What made him so famous was the discovery of his Cemetery in the Valley of the Kings in 1922.

When Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered, the tomb was never robbed and his treasure was in its place. This was one of the important features that distinguished Tutankhamen from other pharaohs, but not the most important. Because his most important feature was the curse rumors that appeared when his grave was opened.

On November 1, 1922, British archaeologist Howard Carter discovers an area in the Valley of the Kings that has never been excavated, and surprisingly realizes that it is an entrance. Carter, who managed to walk in with her daughter Lady Evelyn on November 26, can't believe what she saw. The tomb belongs to the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun, and priceless treasures stand next to the golden chest with the Pharaoh's mummy.

Signs Of Damnation

With this discovery, mysterious events began to follow each other. 1) Carter's beloved, auspicious Canary was eaten by a cobra snake, where it is unclear where it came from. The cobra snake is considered the symbol of Egyptian monarchs. 2) a few weeks after the cemetery was found, the health of the English Lord Carnavron, who provided financial support for the excavations, began to deteriorate. Described as having blood poisoning, Lord passed away shortly afterwards. At the same time, the Lord's dog, Susie, was also said to have started howling and died. With the Lord's death, the curse rumors intensified. The main basis of these rumors was the hieroglyphic inscription on the Tomb of Pharaoh. Says: "Whoever touches Pharaoh's grave will be surrounded by the wings of death.'' 3) American billionaire George Jay Gould visited the grave and died of a sudden gunshot wound the same day. 4) A. C. Mace was one of Carter's assistants. He quit his job after suffering from fever attacks and died in 1928. 5) Richard Bethell was another assistant to archaeologist Carter and died of lack of blood circulation at the age of 45. 6) radiologist Archibald Reid was conducting X-ray examinations of the mummy to find out how old Tutankhamun was. He died shortly after returning to England. 7) in Egypt, where Lord Carnavron's friend also came to attend the funeral, he went to see the Pharaoh's tomb and died 12 hours later of a high fever. After these deaths, it was claimed that there may have been some kind of bacteria that produced poison in the graves, but this has never been proven.

The Curse Continues

His damn rumors have increased interest in Tutankhamun's grave. Tutankhamun's grave remains were exhibited in London and later in America in 1972, during which time there were also mysterious deaths. Director Of The Egyptian Antiquities Department, Dr. Gamaleddin Mehrez said that all these mysterious deaths can make people nervous, but the curse should certainly not be believed. Four weeks have passed since Mehrez's words, and he has died at the age of 52. Many years have passed since these events, but the fame of Tutankhamun, one of Egypt's youngest Pharaohs, has still not fallen off the agenda. This mysterious tomb still contains many questions.
