European Union allocates 35 million euros for development of Artificial Intelligence Solutions For Cancer Treatment

The European Commission has allocated € 35 million in funding to develop AI ( Artificial Intelligence ) solutions for the treatment and Prevention of the most common types of cancer.

it has launched calls for proposals to improve AI systems for analysis of relevant data and speed up diagnostics to provide faster referrals.


“Together with Member States, we must create a framework that balances individual concerns and health system constraints, bringing out innovation in the health service for the benefit of all Europeans,” said Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for digital economy and society.


Commissioner Gabriel Day Wednesday, AI, high performance computing, electronic health records and related privacy and data protection covering to the digitizing of Health and care including the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology industry, will hold a Round Table Conference.


The fund is part of Horizon 2020, the EU's € 80bn research and innovation programme.
